Where the Money Goes

Funds to support the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation come from membership dues, investment income, sale of products, bequests, Combined Campaigns (State and Federal), United Way and contributions from corporations, individuals and chapters of the Sorority. These funds allow EAF to deliver an awards program throughout 10 regions internationally.

EAF provides:

  • A centralized vehicle for securing contributions and endowed funds, headed by a professional Board of Directors that is trained to provide high-level stewardship to fulfill the Foundation’s mission. The professional staff supports, maintains and cultivates all aspects of operations, program and development.
  • Coordination of a communication network via Regional Coordinators and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Chapter Captains through brochures, fact sheets, it’s Web site, the Sorority’s Ivy Leaf publication, video, CD presentations and workshops

Whatever means you use to support the Foundation, you can do so with the confidence that your gift will make a real difference in the lives of others. Contributions, which are tax-deductible, are never used for administrative purposes. They go directly into a permanent endowment fund, enabling donors to maximize the impact of their charitable gifts.
